Cargo Handling & Safety Policy

1. General Handling Standards

At TitanRoute Express, we consider the safety and integrity of your cargo our highest operational priority. All personnel involved in the movement, loading, unloading, and storage of goods are rigorously trained in proper lifting techniques, equipment operation, and risk mitigation strategies to prevent damage, theft, or loss.

We adhere to strict operational guidelines that dictate how different classes of cargo must be handled, ensuring that fragile, high-value, or sensitive items receive the specialized attention they require.

2. Packaging Requirements & Liability

While we exercise the utmost care during transport, the primary responsibility for the structural integrity of the shipment rests with the sender. Cargo must be packaged according to international transportation standards tailored to the specific mode of transport (Air, Sea, Road, or Rail).

  • Adequate Protection: Goods must be shielded against normal vibrations, shocks, temperature fluctuations, and pressure disparities inherent in long-distance transit.
  • Right to Refuse: TitanRoute Express reserves the right to refuse or hold shipments that, in our professional judgment, are improperly packaged, leaking, off-balance, or inherently dangerous due to poor preparation.
  • Repackaging Services: In select circumstances, if a shipment is deemed unsafe for carriage, we may offer professional repackaging services at the sender's expense to ensure compliance and safety before continuing the journey.

3. Specialized Cargo Protocols

Hazardous Materials (Dangerous Goods)

The transportation of dangerous goods is heavily regulated. Shippers must declare all hazardous materials clearly on the commercial invoice and provide the relevant Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Cargo must be packaged, marked, and labeled strictly in accordance with IATA, IMDG, or ADR regulations depending on the route. Failure to declare dangerous goods may result in immediate confiscation by authorities, severe fines, and legal action.

Temperature-Sensitive Cargo (Cold Chain)

For pharmaceuticals, perishables, and specific chemicals, TitanRoute Express maintains rigorous temperature controls throughout the supply chain. Shippers must specify the required temperature range at the time of booking. While we monitor reefers and active containers closely, we recommend data-logging devices inside the packaging for the highest level of assurance.

Oversized & Heavy Construction Equipment (Project Cargo)

Project cargo requires customized lifting plans, securing (lashing) diagrams, and specialized transport equipment. Our engineering team oversees the loading and unloading procedures for oversized items to ensure weight distribution complies with maritime or road restrictions and prevents structural stress to the cargo or the carrying vessel/vehicle.

4. Facility & Supply Chain Security

Security is deeply integrated into our daily operations. Our warehouses and consolidation centers are equipped with:

  • 24/7 CCTV surveillance covering all ingress/egress points and storage zones.
  • Access control systems restricting unauthorized entry to loading docks and secure storage areas.
  • Background checks and security clearances for all staff handling high-value or bonded cargo.
  • Compliance with international supply chain security programs such as C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism).

5. Inspections & Regulatory Compliance

As an international logistics provider, TitanRoute Express must comply with aviation security, maritime safety, and customs regulations worldwide. We—and the relevant government authorities—reserve the right to open and inspect any shipment without prior notice to the shipper or consignee if there is reasonable suspicion of illegal contraband, misdeclaration, or a safety threat.

Reporting a Safety Concern: If you believe a shipment has been tampered with or mishandled, please document the condition immediately upon receipt (with photographs) and contact our compliance team at support@titanrouteexpress.com within 24 hours.
